CSA Steaua Bucharest has made it two matches in a row without success in the second league.

The team coached by Daniel Opritza lost away to CSC 1599 Şelimbăr at the end of an impressive 5-goal match.

“Military” opened the scoring in the 18th minute of the game by Chipirlu, who converted a penalty also scored by him.

Two minutes later, the home team restored parity through Rotonda, who beat Popa.

At the beginning of the second half, Nestassie gave Shelimber the advantage (min. 48), and Monea scored 3-1 from a pass by Rodri (min. 64).

The visitors reduced the deficit with about a quarter of an hour to go. Virtei scored with a header to restore hope for the team, who are ineligible for promotion in the Romanian Superliga.

In the end, everything ended with a score of 3:2, and Claudio Niculescu’s men achieved their fifth consecutive success in the current edition of the second league.

With this result, Shelimbar confirms that it is very good, being the leader of League 2 with 15 points out of 15 possible. On the other hand, CSA remained at 8th place with 6 points.
