Iga Sviatek eliminated Marketa Vondrousova in the quarterfinals in Cincinnati

The first favorite of the tournament in Cincinnati, Iga Sviatek (1 WTA) reached the semifinals.

The world leader defeated this year’s Wimbledon winner Marketa Vondrousova (10 WTA) in two sets at the end of the match, which lasted one hour and 33 minutes.

The Czech Republic held on in the first set, but eventually lost in a tie-break.

In the second act, Iga Svyatek played great tennis and lost only one game.
