Organizers of the US Open have announced that the 2023 Grand Slam tournament in New York will have a record prize pool.

US Open 2023 – record prize money of $65 million

The 2023 draw will have a total prize pool of $65 million, a record for US tennis. We are talking about an increase of 8% compared to last year’s issue.

Note that this year’s Tour of America will mark five decades of equal prize money among women and men.

In 1973, the US Open became the first major sporting event to offer equal prize money for men and women. Back then, the big singles winners went home with $25,000 each.

Decades later, the major champions who lift the Arthur Ashe Trophy will receive a prize of $3 million (!).

Athletes who qualify in singles will receive a substantial prize of $81,500. This is a 44% increase compared to 2019.

Semifinalist/Semifinalist: $775,000

Quarters: $455,000

Optimal: $284,000

III round: $191,000

II round: $123,000

Round I: $81,500.
