
Carlos Alcaraz won his first Wimbledon tournament on Sunday in an epic final against Novak Djokovic. The Iberian was immediately praised by Rafa Nadal, the double winner of the All England Club.

At the age of only 20, Carlos Alcaraz managed to win the second Grand Slam tournament in his career.
The Pyrenean defeated Novak Djokovic in the Grand Final of the All England Club at the end of an almost 5-hour duel completed in 5 sets, the score 1-6, 7-6(6), 6-1, 3-6, 6 -4.
It was the second Grand Slam title won by the Iberian, following his success at the US Open in 2022.
Immediately after the match, Rafael Nadal, two-time Wimbledon champion in 2008 and 2010, wrote a message on Instagram for his compatriot.
“Congratulations, Carlos Alcaraz. You gave us great joy today and no doubt our Spanish tennis pioneer Manolo Santana was also cheering wherever he was as a Wimbledon participant where you joined. Hugging and enjoying this moment, champion.” – wrote Rafa.
