Saturday brought 11 more games of the third stage of the qualification for the European Championship 2023. The Czech Republic and Portugal won the most striking victories against the Faroe Islands and Bosnia and Herzegovina, respectively.

Erling Haaland’s goal but Norway lose in closing minutes – Nordics only fourth in group

Having picked up no points in their opening two Group A matches, Norway were confident of their home clash with Scotland.

Top scorer Erling Haaland opened the scoring from 11 meters in the 61st minute, taking the Manchester City striker to 22 goals in 24 games for his country.

The end was dramatic, however, with Scotland converting just two minutes later after successes from Dykes (87) and McLean (89).

In Group A, Scotland are the undisputed leaders with 9 points, followed by Georgia with 4 points, Spain with 3 and Norway only fourth with one point.
