Adriano Panatta says Roger Federer is the greatest of all time

Adriano Panatta (former Italian tennis great) believes that nothing has changed since Nole’s victory at the main tournament in Paris, his opinion remains unchanged: Federer is the greatest of all time.

In an interview with Corriere della Sera, Panatta says, among other things, that the trophy that Nole awarded to Philippe Chatrier does not change his opinion in any way.

“Nothing changes for me, Roger Federer is the greatest. It’s not just a matter of aesthetics. And not even the statistics that we love so much. Let time tell.

Let me explain better: Borg (not Bjorn Borg) has won more Grand Slams in the few years he’s been playing than Djokovic, Nadal and Federer combined.

Who is Adriano Panatta?

At the age of 72, Adriano Panatta was the highest ranked in the world at number 4 in August 1976. He won 10 career titles, one of which was a Grand Slam (Roland Garros – 1976 edition). He also won the Davis Cup with Italy in 1976.

He was one of the opponents of the era for Ilie Nestase (10-3 in straight matches for the Romanian).
