Aryna Sabalenko defeated Elina Svitolina at Roland Garros, and the athlete from Belarus was waiting for her opponent at the net (although she knew that she would not come). The Australian Open champion said that she does this after every match, but Ukrainian Oleksandr Dolgopolov believes that this is not true.

Oleksandr Dolgopolov says that Arina Sabalenko “makes Ukraine fun”

Conscripted into the Ukrainian army since the beginning of the war with Russia, the former tennis player says that Sabalenko showed up at the gate.

“It was just disgusting. While Russia blows up the dam, with the help of her mini-dictator friend (no Oleksandr Lukashenko), the drama queen who “doesn’t comment and doesn’t feel safe at press conferences” deliberately sits on the sidelines, making fun of everything Ukraine is going through. Pathetic” – Oleksandr Dolgopolov on Twitter.

Dolgopolov’s highest ranking was 13th place in the ATP rankings (January 2012), and he won three titles during his career (Umag 2011, Washington 2012, Buenos Aires 2017). He collected $7,125,771 in prize money. The last match of the player from Ukraine was dated 2018.

His best Grand Slam finish came in 2011 in Australia when he beat then world No. 4 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Robin Soderling, among others, to reach the quarter-finals.
