Valued at €25m by Transfermarkt, Asensio has been in the Los Blancos first team since 2016 and has since made 285 appearances, scoring 61 goals and providing 32 assists.
The 27-year-old also received offers from the Premier League, including Aston Villa, but the Ligue 1 winners convinced Asensio with an annual salary of around €10m, double what he was earning at Real Madrid.
