The American played his last official match at the 2013 US Open and was eliminated in the first round by Croatia’s Ivo Karlović (2) 6-7, 3-6, 6-4, 7-6(2), 7-6 ( 2).
Later this month, Blake will play doubles at the Rancho Santa Fe Pro Open, an ITF tournament with a total prize pool of $15,000. James will be paired with Hudson Rivera (a student at Stanford University).
