Daniel Opritza remains the coach of “Stella” in the next season as well

In the final stage of the second league playoffs, Steaua defeated Gloria Buzeau at home with a score of 4:2 and finished the championship with 52 points, eight less than the leaders Pola Iassa.

In a statement published on social media, CSA Steaua accused the Romanian Football Federation of misinterpreting the Sports Law and announced future legal action regarding the development of the first league.

At the same time, mentor Daniel Opritza was re-confirmed in his position, although he said he would leave due to a conflict with lawyer Florin Talpan.

“Finals in League 2 of the 2022-2023 season. Our team finishes in second place, which gives us promotion from a sporting point of view.

The misinterpretation of the sports law by the Romanian Football Federation puts us in the position of seeking legal solutions in order to be able to develop at the first stage of Romanian football.

We make it clear that any action by our club can only be taken after official notification to the FRF.

We congratulate the players and technical staff on a successful performance and thank the fans for their unconditional support.

We also want to inform you that Daniel Opritza will be the coach of our team next season as well, and the composition of the playing team will strictly correspond to him and the technical staff,” CSA Steaua announced in a press release.
