Marco van Basten criticized Lionel Messi for the fact that the Argentine decided to go to Al Hilal

Lionel Messi’s career has reached the point where the footballer has to choose between money and love.

The 35-year-old has ruled out extending his contract at PSG, with Barcelona and Al Hilal the favorites to sign the recent World Cup winner.

If Barcelona can offer Messi a contract 4 times lower than PSG’s, Al Hilal have already made an astronomical offer, ready to pay Leo 400 million euros a year.

Three-time Ballon d’Or winner Marco van Basten wrote a message to Lionel Messi, unhappy that the Parisian star chased Arab money.

“I think it’s a shame. The fact that you still want to go there for a lot of money.. You have earned enough, do what you want. You’re the boss, right? It is impossible to imagine! You can play for any club, right?” he said, according to Goal.

According to Transfermarkt, Lionel Messi is valued at 45 million euros.

The Argentine has already won everything possible in football, especially after triumphing in the final of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, when Argentina defeated France.
