Increased security measures at the homes of Neymar, Messi and Verratti
According to the quoted source, security measures have been increased at the club’s training center Camp des Loges in Paris.
On Wednesday night, several hundred fans – mostly ultras – gathered outside the group’s headquarters in Boulogne-Billancourt to express their displeasure with the club’s results, insulting players such as Marco Verratti, Leo Messi, Neymar and coach Christophe Galtier.
Some of them, around a hundred people dressed in black, also gathered on Wednesday around 8pm in front of Neymar’s residence in Bougival (Yvelines), ultras sources told AFP, adding that some of them said they “wanted to repeat their action every evening”.
In light of these developments, PSG has decided to increase security, notably by increasing the security presence at PSG’s training centre, at the Camp de Loge and in front of the residences of Neymar, Leo Messi and Marco Verratti, “all of whom were targeted” by hostile scoundrels.
“Paris Saint-Germain strongly condemns the intolerable and offensive actions of a small group of individuals that took place on Wednesday.
Whatever the controversy, nothing can justify such actions. The club offers its full support to its players, management and anyone affected by this disgraceful behaviour,” PSG said in a statement.
The events took place three days after the Parisian club lost 1-3 to Lorient at the Parc des Princes, their third defeat in their last four home matches, News.ro writes.
