The London derby between Arsenal and Chelsea could bring clarity to the title race involving the Gunners, while the Blues look set to settle for one of their weakest seasons in years.

Arsenal are 2nd in the Premier League with 75 points, one behind Manchester City (who also currently have a game in hand), and are looking increasingly unlikely to secure a first league title in 19 years (in the 2003-2004 season he won the championship without defeat).

With only three points in the last four stages, after three identical results and a defeat in the previous stage right at Manchester City, the score was 1-4, the team coached by Mikel Arteta lost the top spot after 11 stages (May was in 2nd place only in the first two stages of this season, in the rest it was only in 1st place).

Arsenal are also second in the table for home games in the league with 12 wins, three draws and one defeat, with Gabriel Martinelli as the team’s top scorer with 15 goals in the Premier League this season.

Chelsea sit in 12th place with 39 points, a long way from not only the European places but also the relegation zone, after picking up just one point from their last five Premier League games and in the previous stage they lost at home, scored 0-2 against Brentford.

The side coached by interim manager Frank Lampard also exited the Champions League after being knocked out by Real Madrid 0-2 away and 0-2 at home in the quarter-finals of the competition.

Chelsea, who currently have a negative goal difference (30-35), have won four, drawn four and lost seven away games this season, with Kai Havertz (7) as the team’s top scorer in the league.

Arsenal beat Chelsea 1–0 in a tour match on 6 November 2022 at Stamford Bridge after Gabriel scored in the 63rd minute.
