Simona Halep played her last match at the US Open 2022, and the last eight months were the most difficult in the career of the ex-WTA leader. After the athlete from Constanta complained about the delay in her doping case, Ion Cyriak intervened and demanded an explanation.

Ion Cyriac asks who will compensate Simona Halep if she proves her innocence

The businessman is sure that Simona is innocent, and is interested in who will compensate the athlete for the months when she was not allowed on the tennis court.

“He trains every day, there at my place, in Stezharia, as if he has to play tomorrow. He tells me, no, that it has been postponed again.

In my opinion, this manipulation that takes place in the world of sports is unacceptable. If you test positive in both the A and B samples, you are positive.

Why are you positive? The law that made WADA—the global company tasked with dealing with these issues that actually belong to the International Olympic Committee—I was one of five who formed it in the 2000s.

Positive is positive. If the five keeps you open-mouthed and the sixth puts something in your mouth, you are positive. But they are criminals and you cannot be found guilty.

Same with Simona Halep. At 31, at the US Open, where she was never ace, knowing that she was checked three days before, after the match, automatically after she leaves the court… Simone, what a girl, can’t be that stupid intelligent, but nobody.

Looks like they’ve found where it’s coming from. Moreover, this is a sample showing 0.00-don’t-know-what-percentages. Why do the International Federation and the courts keep it like this?

Who will be responsible if somehow Simona Halep is not guilty or vicariously guilty for all these months during which the professional could not do his job?” – Ion Tiriacusquoted by sport.ro.
