
Charles Leclerc will start from the first position on the starting grid of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix Formula 1 sprint race on the track in Baku.
Leclerc won qualifying (1.41.697) so he will be on pole for Saturday’s 100km race.
The Monegasque driver lost control of his car in the final seconds of qualifying and came to the pits with a broken front wing.
Sergio Perez finished second and Max Verstappen, both of RedBull, finished third.

- A sprint race will be held on Saturday from 16:30. The eight best participants will receive points.
- Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) will also start from pole position for Sunday’s race from Baku, after the Monegasque driver won Friday’s qualifying.
