After qualifying for the second round by beating Anna Bondar 4-6, 6-4, 7-6, Ana Bohdan failed to beat American Shelby Rogers.

The player, who is ranked 38th in the world, authoritatively controlled both sets and won after only an hour and 20 minutes of play.
