Sepsi – University of Craiova 1-2, Super League playoffs

Sepsi Sfantu Gheorghe had the better first half, dominated the ball and had more chances to score, but the score was 0-0 at half-time.

At the beginning of the second half, Oleksandr Krets opened the scoring in the 49th minute with a shot from the edge of the penalty area.

Marius Stefanescu had two great chances to equalize but was inaccurate on each occasion.

In the 64th minute, Eugen Neagoe’s men were outnumbered, and midfielder Alexandru Kretsu received a straight red card for interfering with Peun’s chest with the sole of his foot.

Just two minutes later, the University of Craiova managed to double their advantage thanks to Jovan Marković, who finished off the counterattack perfectly with Rogulić, past the goalkeeper Nitsuli.

Despite being outnumbered for half an hour, Cristiano Bergodi’s men only managed to score in the final phase through Stefanescu following Dumitrescu’s cross.
