Oleksandr Zverev lost to Christopher O’Connell at ATP in Munich

Directly accepted at this stage of the competition (he was the third favorite), Zverev lost after almost two hours of play to Christopher O’Connell (82 ATP), the score 7-6(2), 6-4.

The Australian will play in the quarters against the Italian Flavio Colobbi (208 ATP).

10 wins and 10 losses were recorded by Oleksandr Zverev (US Open 2020 finalist and former ATP #2) in 2023.

The tournament in Munich runs from April 17 to 23 on clay, has a total prize pool of €562,815, and the main champion and main favorite is Denmark’s Holger Roon.
