British media reports that Hatsidakis has been detained from the delegation until the investigation into Sunday’s incident is completed.
“PGMOL will no longer delegate Constantine Hatzidakis to a match in any competition while the FA investigates the incident involving assistant referee and Liverpool defender Andrew Robertson,” the Premier League Referee Corps said.
The scene happened at half-time at Anfield, when the referee invited the two teams to go to the booths.
Scotland international Andrew Robertson approached one of the two goalscorers, Konstantinos Hatsidakis, to say something to him, presumably protesting the decision. When the defender approaches the referee, he raises his hand and touches the player’s neck with his elbow, writes News.ro.
A Sky Sports reporter on the sidelines said Robertson shouted after the incident: βHe elbowed me in the throat! The bouncer just elbowed me in the neck!β
