Jessica Pegula, in the semi-finals of WTA Miami: she saved two match points against Anastasia Potapova

Potapova started the match better, she won the first set with a score of 6-4, but she could no longer maintain a high level, and Pegula leveled the situation on the table (6-3 in the second set for the American).

The decisive one was one of dramatic highlights: Potapova eventually served at 5-4 to end the match, she even had two match points, but somehow one of the most important victories of her career slipped through her fingers.

It went to a tie-break where Jessica was mentally stronger (her superior experience was evident) and the set went back to her 7-2. The game lasted two hours and 37 minutes.

In the semifinals, Pegula will meet with Olena Rybakina (seventh favorite and current champion of Wimbledon and Indian Wells).

The Kazakh athlete quickly overcame Martina Trevisan (24 WTA), score 6-3, 6-0. The game lasted 71 minutes.
