CSA Steaua Bucharest press release

“1. The ÎCCJ decided to re-examine the appeal and with this decision we revert to the decision of the Bucharest Court of July 2019, which found that the track record from 1947-2003 (inclusive) belongs to the Steaua Army Sports Club;

2. We remind you that there is a final decision of the High Court of Cassation and Justice from December 2014, which finally and irrevocably established that STEAUA BUCHAREST has never transferred its assets (brand, name or record) to another legal entity;

3. There are no acts by which SC FC FCSB SA could demonstrate that it took possession of the record of the army sports club STEAUA BUCHAREST, especially since CSA STEAUA BUCHAREST was not a party to the 2003 agreement between FCSB SA and the non-profit Association AFC Steaua ;

4. When you say Star, you don’t think only about football! Steaua is a social phenomenon with many sports disciplines, a club with continuous activity from 1947 until today. Among the achievements of the Steaua Army Sports Club are medals won at the Olympic Games, World and European Championships, European Cups, as well as national titles. All these honors made our club the most important name in Romanian sports;

5. We are fully confident that the Romanian judge will make a normal decision regarding the track record of the historical team STEAUA BUCHAREST, taking into account the documents and evidence available in the case.

Steaua was and still is the flagship of Romanian football, the team that has never left Gençu, that won the European Champions Cup and the European Super Cup, the team that has the most loyal fans. The idols of the stands, Marius Laketus, Tudorel Stojka, Viktor Pitsurka, Gabi Balint, Stefan Jovan, Adrian Bumbescu and many others unconditionally support the club whose colors they defended with dignity and dedication. Together we were, are and will always remain the STAR OF BUCHAREST!”, – the press release of those from KSA Steaua Bucharest.
