Craiova University takes advantage of Bucharest Rapid’s failure
After 3 consecutive defeats in the championship, Petrolul Ploiesti could not achieve a positive result even in the match with Craiova University.
The team led by Eugen Nyagoe controlled the match in the first half and missed several important chances to take the goal.
Oltensi opened the scoring in overtime of the first half, when Andrii Ivan scored from a few meters after a corner kick (min. 45+3).
In the second half, Jovan Markovych could have made the score 2:0, but goalkeeper Vilchanu intervened and kept the score on the scoreboard.
Constantin Budescu tried to surprise the goalkeeper of “Olten” with a strong kick from the free kick, but he easily picked up his implementation.
Thanks to this victory, Kraiova moved closer to Bucharest Rapid by only one point. Petrolul Ploiești remains in 9th place with 33 points.
