Fernando Llorente ends his career at the age of 37 – the striker played in La Liga, Serie A and the Premier League

On Thursday, Fernando Llorente, who turned 37 and has been without a team since June 2022, announced his retirement.

The forward, who began his professional career at Athletic Bilbao, has featured in several major European championships, featuring for Juventus, Sevilla, Napoli and Tottenham Hotspur during his career.

Llorente played 24 matches for the Spanish national team and scored 7 times for Furia Roja. Together with the Spanish national team, Fernando Llorente won the world championship title in 2010 and the European championship title in 2012.

The striker, who scored 185 goals at club level, won 3 Italian league titles with Juventus, two Italian Cups and two Italian Super Cups. Llorente also won the UEFA Europa League (2016) as part of Sevilla.

“Now everything is clear. I keep in shape by playing padel.” he said during a show on Spanish television.
