Yannick Carrasco, who is wanted by FC Barcelona.

Carrasco could become a Barcelona player at the end of this season for €20 million after the Catalan club signed a concessionary buyout deal with Atletico Madrid, Marca reports.

Although Joan Laporta would have liked to include him in a move for Memphis Depay, a deal for the Belgium striker was ultimately struck separately from the move.

Atletico accepted a buyout offer after Carrasco turned down a contract extension in the summer of 2024 and there were signals from his manager that several big clubs wanted him.

The transfer fee of 20 million euros is three times less than the release clause, but Madrid understand that they can lose him for free after the final year of the contract.

Yannick Carrasco, 29, joined Atletico Madrid in 2020, for whom he has scored 13 goals in 79 games and is valued at €30 million by Transfermarkt.
