2022 Wimbledon finalist Nick Kyrgios has said he has suffered a knee injury and will miss the Australian Open, the first Grand Slam of the year.
Nick Kyrgios will not play at the 2023 Australian Open
World number 21 Kyrgios has a torn lateral meniscus, which is not career-threatening but could worsen if the Australian tries to compete in Melbourne.
Nick, who was supposed to meet Roman Safiullin (97 ATP) in the first round, will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his knee.
“Just bad timing. That’s life, injuries are a part of sport… Obviously I’m devastated, it’s my home tournament… and going into this event as one of the favorites is brutal” – Nick Kyrgios.
