France advanced to the World Cup final on Wednesday night with a 2-0 win over surprise Morocco and are favorites to face Argentina.

The French received another good news before the final act of the competition, namely that Karim Benzema’s Ballon d’Or is ready for the duel with Argentina.

Although many expected the Real forward to be in Doha by now, it seems the 34-year-old forward has already made up his mind.

Karim Benzema was injured on the eve of the first match of the French national team at the World Cup in Qatar and left the training camp of the national team.

Despite the fact that he was able to recover quickly, having been in form since the eighth stage, Sport.es journalists write that Didier Deschamps announced that the Ballon d’Or will leave immediately after he was injured.

Benzema felt pushed out, and although Real Madrid agreed to his return to the French national team, the top had already made the decision to stay in Madrid.

Asked at the press conference whether Benzema is an option for the final with Argentina, coach Didier Deschamps was rather evasive and gave a short answer:

“I’d better move on to the next question.”
