On Wednesday, the last games from the main groups of the Women’s Handball European Championship took place, the well-known semifinals of the competition. The rating of 7-16 places from the final European tournament is also being clarified.

Romania, 12th place at the European Women’s Handball Championship

Defeated by Germany in the last EC match (32-28), Romania finished the tournament in 12th place out of 16 participants.

• The European champion will directly qualify for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, as well as the 2023 World Cup. The silver and bronze medalists will also advance to next year’s world finals.

• This was Romania’s 14th European Women’s Handball Championship, with their best result being third place at the 2010 tournament.

• The main European champion is Norway, the title won at the 2020 competition (eighth on record).
