Romelu Lukaku has little chance to play at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar
Belgium coach Roberto Martinez said the presence of the player in the team with which Belgium will travel to Qatar is becoming less and less likely.
Lukaku picked up a hip injury at the start of the season but has recently relapsed and is unlikely to make it to Qatar.
“He is not fit to play at the moment. It is in the hands of doctors. The decision will be made on Thursday, just before the announcement of the list of 26. Doctors will say whether he can play at least one of the matches in the group. If not, we won’t call him for CM,” Roberto Martinez.
Belgium is in Group F along with Canada (match on November 23), Morocco (duel on November 27) and Croatia (match on December 1).
