KAE announces acquisition of Dwayne Bacon Panathinaikos. The 27-year-old American striker has signed a two-year cooperation deal, with the Greens having the right to opt-out in December and summer.

“Dwayne Bacon was born August 30, 1995 in Florida, USA, he is 2.01 meters tall and plays as a forward. He played college basketball at Florida State and scored 20 points and 10 rebounds in his first game of his career.

He finished his senior year there (2016-2017) averaging 17.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game.

Bacon was selected 40th overall in the 2017 NBA draft by the New Orleans Pelicans and was traded to the Charlotte Hornets, where he played for three seasons. His best year with Charlotte was his second year (2018–2019), which he finished with averages of 7.3 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.1 assists.

In November 2020, he signed with the Orlando Magic and averaged 10.9 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game in 72 games.

In October 2021, Bacon moved to Europe with Monaco, competing with them in the EuroLeague, averaging 14 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game.

In September 2022, he signed with the Los Angeles Lakers, from which he left in October.”
