
Franck Ribery announced that he was hanging up his football boots at the age of 39. The last time the Frenchman played was last August in Salernitana’s match against Roma.
He has since been sidelined with a right knee injury. His contract with the Italian team ends in the summer of 2023 but will be terminated and he will take on a role in the technical team.
Ribéry started playing football in Boulogne. Consistently played for Ales (2002–03), Brest (2003–04), Metz (2004–05), Galatasaray (2005), Marseille (2005–07), Bayern ( 2007–19), Fiorentina (2019–21). ) before ending his career at Salernitana.
