
Romanian athletes won seven medals (four gold, one silver and two bronze) on Sunday in the event finals at the Gymnastics World Cup in Mersin, Turkey.

Ana Maria Berbosu was the star of the day with three gold medals on parallel bars (13.600), balance beam (13.950) and floor (12.900), according to the Romanian Gymnastics Federation Facebook page.
Gabriel Burtenete also won gold on vault with an average score of 14.725 (scores of 14.750 and 14.700 respectively).
Andrea Preda won two medals, silver on floor (12.650) and bronze on beam (12.600), and in the parallel bars final she placed last (8) with a score of 12.250.
Andriy Muntyan won bronze on parallel bars (14.400), in which Gabriel Burtanete was seventh – 13.900.
Muntian placed fourth on rings (13.850) and sixth on floor (13.800), while Rezvan Mark was fifth on bars (13.550) and sixth on rings (12.700).
Gabrielle Burtenete won the prize as the best vault gymnast in this season’s Challenge World Cup.
It was the last test for Romanian gymnasts before the World Championships in Liverpool (October 29-November 6), writes Agerpres.
