Maria Sakkari was defeated 5-7, 7-5, 7-5 by Alicia parks in his first tournament match Ostrava. The best Greek tennis player fell victim to bad luck after winning the first set, but failed to finish.

Parks, who eliminated Karolina Pliskova in the previous round, will take on Barbora Krejcikova in the quarterfinals.
