AEK defeated Ionikos 4-1 in the sixth round of the Super League in their first match at the Opap Arena. The union scored 12 points in the league and moved to second place.

Ionikos remained at one point and in last place. Miyat Gacinovic scored the first goal at the new Soyuz Stadium.

The match started about 20 minutes late due to Union fans lighting smoke generators. AEK made its first phase in the 2nd minute with Garcia’s shot from the top of the big court. Soon after, Rota fired from long range, but his shot missed the target.

In the 6th minute, Matias Almeida’s wards opened the scoring. Gacinovic scored AEK’s first goal at OPAP Arena with a hard shot. The hosts dominated the field and very easily got to the opponent’s zone.

In the 15th minute, Mohammadi’s shot went wide, as did Araujo’s attempt a little later. The Union made it 2-0 with Garcia after a great cross from Eliasson.

In the 36th minute, Mukudi headed the ball after Araujo’s cross, but the ball went wide. AEK had other finals with Araujo, Gacinovic and Pineda.

The union also entered strongly in the second half. Gacinovic missed the target in the 48th minute after stoppage time, and three minutes later Ionikos had his first good moment against Ioannidis.

In ’58, AEK had the crossbar after a good shot by Pinedas. A little later, the guests once again had a good time with Ofosou.

The Union made it 3-0 with Arauchos in the 62nd minute. The Argentine celebrated his goal in front of the Original’s horseshoe and was deified. Three minutes later, Gacinovic, with his second personal goal, made the score 4-0 with a solid shot.

The Union had other opportunities with Araujo and Vida. On 77′ Lovera made a beautiful move outside the penalty area, shot, but Stankovic was ready.

In the 83rd minute, AEK threatened Amrabad again, and in the 89th minute, Mandalos missed from the height of the penalty area. Ionikos equalized with Eleftheriadis in the third minute of stoppage time.
