The new all-electric Peugeot 308 will be available from 2023, with Peugeot becoming the first European manufacturer to offer an all-electric station wagon (SW) model. The electric 308 and 308 SW models will feature a brand new 115 kW (156 hp) electric motor and will be able to travel over 400 kilometers (WLTP cycle), depending on equipment level.

The attractive appearance of the 308 is combined with the excellent driving behavior that characterizes the brand’s models and best-in-class efficiency with an average consumption of no more than 12.7 kWh. Available in Allure and GT trim levels, the new Peugeot E-308 and E-308 SW will hit the market in mid-2023 and will be built for the European and global markets in France at the Mulhouse plant.

The design of the new Peugeot E-308 and E-308 SW is inspired by both Peugeot’s DNA and the dynamism of the high end market.

A longer bonnet accentuates the body’s striking silhouette, the proportions are bold yet subtle, and the brand’s new emblem dominates the center of the front grille.

A 100kW public charger charges a car from 20% to 80% in less than 25 minutes.

At the front, a distinctive fanged light signature surrounds the Matrix LED lighting housings, integrating the 308 and 308 SW perfectly into the Peugeot family, as is the case with the three LED taillight ‘nails’. The new 18-inch alloy wheels have been specially developed for the all-electric versions of the Peugeot 308 and 308 SW. Their aerodynamic characteristics are carefully studied to ensure the optimization of the economy. The electric motor has 115 kW (156 hp) and 260 Nm of torque (available “from idle”) for instant response. The new engine will drive the E-308 absolutely silently, without vibrations and CO2 emissions. This engine complements the existing range, which includes plug-in hybrid versions with 180 hp/132 kW and 225 hp/162 kW, as well as versions with an internal combustion engine.

The battery is also a new generation. This is a 54 kWh (51 kWh usable) high-voltage battery with a new chemical composition. The built-in three-phase charger is standard and has a power rating of 11 kW. The charging plug socket allows all types of connection. From a public 100 kW charger, it takes less than 25 minutes for a car to charge from 20% to 80%.
