The Rest of the World team won the Laver Cup for the first time (its sixth edition) with a 13-8 victory over a European team after Francis Tiafoe saved four match points against Stefanos Tsitsipas to win in a super tiebreak.

The Greek made a great start to the match at the O2 Arena (London) and won the first set 6-1 in just 20 minutes of play.

Tsitsipas (6 ATP) also looked the better player in the second set, but Tiafoe held up incredibly under pressure, saving four match points in the tiebreak to win 13-11.

Francis (19 ATP) led in the super tiebreak with the score 8-4, Stefanos recovered two mini-breaks (8-7), but lost his serve once more and the American finished the match: 10-8.

Laver Cup 2017 – held at the O2 Arena in Prague, Europe won 15-9.

2018 Laver Cup – Held at the United Center in Chicago, Europe won 13-8.

Laver Cup 2019 – held at Palexpo in Geneva and Europe won 13-11.

Laver Cup 2020 – Not contested due to the Covid-19 pandemic (Roland Garros was held at the same time and the Laver Cup was eventually cancelled).

Laver Cup 2021 – held at TD Garden in Boston and Europe won 14-1.

Laver Cup 2022. Held at the O2 Arena in London. The rest of the world won their first with a score of 13-8.
