PAE Olympiacos announces the appointment of José Anigo as Director of Football.
Anigo, along with his new role, will remain the director of the Olympiacos Academy and will link the work of the first team, second team and infrastructure departments.
The 61-year-old Frenchman is linked to Marseille, where he first worked as a substitute coach, coaching the likes of Samir Nasri, Seydou Keita, Mathieu Flamini, André and Jordan Ayew.
Then, as first team coach, he led them to the 2004 UEFA Cup final, and as director of football, he played one championship, three cups, five Champions League and four UEFA matches, working with players such as Drogba, Ribéry, Valbuena, Ben Arfa, Bartes and Mandada.
He has coached several teams as first manager and in October 2019 took over scouting for Nottingham Forest.
