Glasgow Celtic fans displayed banners insulting the British monarchy during Wednesday’s 1-1 draw with Shakhtar Donetsk (Champions League Group F).
Ten minutes before kick-off in Warsaw, Scottish fans held up banners reading “F..k the Crown” and “Sorry for your loss, Michael Fagan”, in reference to the Briton who in 1982 managed to break into Buckingham Palace and even the Room Queen Elizabeth II.
10 minutes before the start of the match, a banner was unfurled in the Celtic end: “Damn the crown”.
