Cristiano Ronaldo: he turned down Saudi Arabia’s unrealistic offer

OUR Cristiano Ronaldo he was the man who monopolized the interest during the summer. The Portuguese superstar has expressed his desire to leave Manchester United after the English club failed to qualify for the Champions League.

The 37-year-old remained a Manchester resident after failing to find a team that lived up to his expectations. However, two clubs from Saudi Arabia appear to be interested in signing him.

According to the Portuguese version of CNN, the Portuguese superstar turned down the offer, which amounted to 2.3 million euros a week, almost 200 million euros a year.

The president of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation expressed his desire to see the Portuguese superstar in the national championship. “We would like a player like Cristiano Ronaldo to play in the Saudi Arabian league. This will bring a lot of positive feedback and will be great news for everyone. I’m sure it’s going to be a very expensive deal, of course, but we’re seeing our clubs have higher revenues in the last couple of years. We have already seen great players coming to our league who used to play in the Premier League,” commented Yasser Al Mishal.
