DS 4, luxury and technology

We have chosen a new French crossover with a bold appearance for a trip to Sivota, because in addition to luxury and advanced technology, one of the characteristics of the new DS 4 is unsurpassed comfort. It is clear that the new EMP2 platform stands out even when you “write” many kilometers on asphalt, while at 4.4 meters the new DS 4 can be flexible and very roomy.

The information that the driver receives from the steering wheel is very accurate and where you “aim” is where you go, without any minor amendments.

But let’s start with its attractive silhouette. The front end features a new lighting signature. Narrow headlights with DS Matrix Led Vision combine standard lighting with steering direction. This system is complemented by daytime running lights consisting of two LED lines on each side (150 LEDs in total). The fenders of the DS connect the headlights to the grille, which, depending on the version, consists of two parts with patterns that resemble the edges of a diamond. The silhouette of the car is presented even more dynamically thanks to the long bonnet above the headlights. The volume of the luggage compartment is 430 liters and is opened thanks to the electric drive of the 5th door, which has a contactless opening system. A new generation infotainment system, driver assistance systems not yet available in this segment, and an innovative “advanced” information display system make the DS 4 an attractive choice. On the road, the superior ride quality and well-tuned suspension left no room for physical fatigue, which is a real success after so many miles. However, short stops were made to rest the engine and our minds. The information that the driver receives from the steering wheel is very accurate and where you “aim” you go there, without any minor corrections.

The DS 4 comes with three petrol options: PureTech 130 Automatic, PureTech 180 Automatic and PureTech 225 Automatic, as well as one BlueHDi 130 Automatic Diesel engine. Consumption ranges from 4.8 l/100 km for diesel, 5.9 l/100 km for gasoline (WLTP combined) and has CO2 emissions of 125 g/km and 135 g/km respectively. It is worth mentioning here that the plug-in hybrid version of the DS 4 E-TENSE 225 offers high performance. It is equipped with a 180 hp PureTech 4-cylinder engine. and an electric motor with a capacity of 110 hp. with a new 12.4 kWh battery. The model has a range in zero emission mode of up to 55 kilometers (on the combined WLTP cycle). With 360 Nm of torque, you can accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h in 7.7 seconds and cover the first 1,000 meters in 27.3 seconds with fuel consumption of just 1.3 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of 29 g/km. in the WLTP combined cycle.
