After beating Serena Williams 6-4, 6-0, Emma continued the show against the Belarusian player and won 6-0, 6-2 (she also led 6-0, 4-0). The match lasted only 62 minutes.
Reducanu (10th favorite) will meet in the 1/16 finals with one of the most prepared players of the scheme: Jessica Pegula (8th WTA, seed number 7).

The Western & Southern Open is the last tournament before the US Open 2022
A WTA 1000 category competition, the tournament will be held on hard from August 15 to 21, 2022. Its total prize money is $2,527,250 and there are 64 players at the start of the main draw. The current champion is Ashley Barty (now retired from tennis), who won the title last year.
