
Three Greek athletes participating in the qualifying triple jump on the 1st day of the competition European Athletics Championship in Munich. Dimitris Tsiamis, 40, who placed third in the previous relevant event in 2018, jumped better with 15.99 meters. in the third attempt (15.42 m and 15.97 m in the first two) and finished 15th overall.
As for the younger jumpers, Andreas Pantazis with 15.86m on the second and third attempts (15.72m on the first) was 18th, and Nikos Andrikopoulos with the best jump of 15.39m (he had another on 15.19 m and one disabled), he limited himself to 19th place.
Limit 16.95m. only three athletes, the Portuguese Pedro Picardo (17.36 m), the Italian Emmanuel Ihemehe (17.20 m) and the Frenchman Jean-Marc Pontvien (16.96 m), and the last 12 “closed” only on 16.07 m.
