Romanian crews won no fewer than six medals in seven finals at the European Rowing Championships in Munich on Saturday. Simona Radish and Ankuca Bodnar, the Olympic champions in Tokyo, won the women’s double rowing.

Excellent results obtained by the Romanian crews on Saturday at the European Rowing Championships in Munich

  • Simona Radish and Ankutsa Bodnar – gold medal in women’s double rowing and men’s four rowing competitions
  • Mihai Chirutse, Ciprian Tudose, Ioan Prundianu and Florin-Marian Enake – bronze medals in the men’s four-abreast competition
  • Denis Tylveska and Ioan Vrancana – gold medal in double frames competition;
  • Marius Kozmiyuk and Sergiu Bezhan – gold medal in men’s doubles;
  • Mădălina Bereş, Iuliana Buhuş, Magdalena Rusu and Amalia Bereş – bronze medal in the women’s foursome;
  • Mihaice Ciganescu, Mugurel Semchuk, Stefan Berariu and Florin Lehaci – bronze medal in the men’s foursome;
  • Florin Arteni, Alexandru-Cosmin Makovei, Alexandru Kyoseaua, Nika-Julian Chelaru, Christi-Ilie Pirgie, Konstantin Radu, Vlad Aikoboae, Konstantin Adam and Adrian Munteanu – fifth place in the men’s 8+1 competition.

Romania is participating with 11 crews and 39 athletes at the European Championships in Munich on August 11-14.
