According to GSP, Lewski filed a complaint with UEFA, claiming the 2-1 goal should have been disallowed.

Striker Dodo, who provided the crucial assist for Hamrun’s goal, would have been in the Bulgarian half before the ball was brought back into play following a 1-1 draw.

“We inform you that on Friday, August 12, within 24 hours, the team under the leadership of executive director Ivail Ivkov submitted a protest to UEFA with a request to replay the match with “Khamrun” after a thorough analysis of the case.

Necessary evidence of gross violation of the rules by the head referee and his assistants, which affected the outcome of the match, was provided. The matter should be considered as a matter of urgency by the Ethics and Disciplinary Committee of UEFA.” This is stated in Levski’s statement.
