The “sins” of Josep Maria Bartomeu’s administration are paying off Barcelona. The Spanish team is in dire financial straits due to the businessman’s manipulation.

In fact, Bartomeu’s administration is reported to have taken “criminal acts” to renew specific contracts. According to an analysis by the Catalan radio station, the previous president’s training cost the club 311 million euros.

Barcelona are trying to find a way to sign new deals with the players in question, threatening to take the case to court. According to relevant reports, Barcelona’s lawyers believe that these contracts may be illegal and therefore void.
