
Daria Kasatkina (12 WTA) won the WTA 500 tournament in San Jose on Sunday, defeating Shelby Rogers (45 WTA).
The Russian tennis player defeated Roger 6-7 (2), 6-1, 6-2 in two hours and 34 minutes of play.
Kasatkina (25), in her first title of the season, won her fifth WTA title after trophies in Charleston (2017), Moscow (2018), Melbourne and St. Petersburg (both in 2021).
The 28-year-old Rogers lost the chance to win her first WTA title, losing three finals, the first two in Bad Gastein (Austria) in 2014 and Rio de Janeiro in 2016, according to Agerpres.
