K. Kastanidis: Andrulaki’s decision is a personal insult, I will fight for the faction

The reaction of Haris Kastanidis was prompted by the decision of PASOK-KINAL President Nikos Androulakis to keep the seat in Thessaloniki, excluding Mr. Kastanidis, who had been elected in the region for many years, from parliament.

“A personal insult does not change my decision to fight to the end for the strengthening of the Democratic Party,” said Haris Kastanidis in a statement after the decision of the President of PASOK-KINAL Nikos Androulakis to retain a seat in parliament in the constituency A. district of Thessaloniki, as a result of which he remains out of parliament .

The full statement by Mr. Castanidis is as follows:

“The President of PASOK informed me of his decision to occupy the faction’s headquarters in Thessaloniki at the same time that he officially informed the press.

I make no pretense of ethical rules in an age of devaluation of politics. Mr. Androulakis assessed, judged and made decisions alone, as, after all, he has the right to do so.

The decision of the PASOK chairman is practically irrelevant, since the parliament will be convened for just one day and immediately dissolved.

However, in the symbolic and moral realm, this is of great importance, for reasons that can only be understood by those who have a historical understanding of space.

Personal insult does not cancel my obligation to fight to the end for the strengthening of the Democratic Party.

A simple belligerent citizen or voter, it doesn’t matter, because I have never depended on officialdom in my attitude.

The choice is Mr. Andrulakis.
