“We are talking about an ocean of objects, people, challenges, a sea that is not always calm and smooth, but with frequent winds and storms. Despite all this, and with my hand on my heart, I confess that I really enjoyed this trip. With lulls and storms, with its brilliant moments and with our mistakes and failures, with its diversity and surprises,” Ms. Kerameos said in her speech.
“And if some people say that this ministry is an electric chair, then for me it is the greatest honor to serve in this ministry. Investing in education is one of the most important investments we can make in our country. What kind of country we will have tomorrow will depend on the education that we give to our children today,” concluded Ms. Kerameos.
The outgoing minister presented a summary of four years of work. He especially thanked every member of the education community, every employee of the Ministry of Education and subordinate structures, current and former deputy ministers and general secretaries of the ministry, the editors of the education report and its staff for their hard work, excellent cooperation and dedication to the goal.
