Tsipras to the Constitution: We know what people are asking for and we will implement it

“Change is the need, the desire and the expectation of our people,” he emphatically emphasized in his keynote campaign speech before the Constitution. Alexis Tsiprasalso noting that “the people are asking for Education, dignity and justice, we know this and will put it into practice”,

The President of SYRIZA launched a vicious attack on the Prime Minister, citing Tempi and wiretapping, as well as SYRIZA’s campaign promise to “open the doors of universities to thousands of children.” He also noted that “we will not hire police officers, but university professors.” He added that “we will prevent the privatization of water.”

Mr. Tsipras said that the first decisions of his government will be: a) suspending the first home auctions, b) reducing the VAT on food – zeroing it out on some basic necessities, reducing the excise tax on fuel, c) abolishing the minimum import base.

He pointed out that “people are above profit” and elsewhere in his speech emphasized: “We do not reflect on the slogans of the past, but life makes them relevant” because, as he said, we have “the worst right-wing government that was in power from the post-colonial period.

A warning to Kyriakos Mitsotakis that the perpetrators of semi-state governance will be held accountable and brought to justice was addressed by the president of SYRIZA-PS, Alexis Tsipras.

“Today’s meeting is a summing up of the victory. The heart of justice, democracy and change beats in the Constitution. We are sending a message that Greece will turn the page on Sunday. On Sunday comes the end of the regime of injustice, the regime of obscene profit and the regime of inequality. On Sunday justice returns to our homeland, on Sunday the people speak and the people write history. Today’s meeting demonstrates the hope that the Greek people are not ready to live with the nightmare of precision, speculation, parastatal power. Hope has become the solution because our people cannot endure another four years of injustice. He cannot tolerate the eviction of families for several thousand euros by a party that owes 400 million euros. He cannot lose his income in the third week of the month. He hates not having enough pension to buy a present for his grandchildren. He cannot bear the lack of dignity, the lack of working time and rights for the worker, the inability for small and medium businesses to keep their business. They can’t stand the sale of all social safety nets, they can’t stand the dismantling of the National Social Security system, the artificial barriers that the government puts on young people with 20,000 children who have not graduated from universities so that colleges have clients.

Continuing, he said that “Corruption, arrogance, an injustice regime, the Mitsotakis regime, it is time for the worst post-colonial government to be a thing of the past. I would tell Kyriakos Mitsotakis to start gathering from Megaros Maximos to untie the wires of the predator, evidence of a crime. From Monday, Maximos will be the headquarters of democracy and justice as the government commits itself to healing the wounds left by the Mitsotakis government.”

He accused the prime minister of “turning Maximos’ palace from a palace of democracy into a palace of parastatal corporations and eavesdropping. The web has entangled half of the political system, the military leadership, journalists and businessmen. However, at the first forced question, he admitted that the wiretapping scandal was a big scandal and that there was no national reason for surveillance, but he continues to organize a cover operation with accomplices at the top of the justice system.
