As diplomatic sources emphasizeFollowing the relevant instructions of Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias, Greek Ambassador to France Dimitrios Zevelakis sent a letter to the newspaper.
In it, according to the same sources, he pointed out the wrong practice of reissuing a map showing the results of elections in Turkey, including the Greek islands.
In addition, as emphasized, “he demanded the immediate removal of the map and the prevention of its reproduction by the English and French electronic edition of the newspaper, in order to restore the correctness and accuracy of the published information, and also so as not to mislead the reading public.”
Le Monde, the same sources conclude, has already removed the map from its website.
