Thematic sections

As already announced by the inter-party committee, there are six thematic sections in which it will be proposed to place political leaders: 1. Economy, development, employment, 2. Foreign policy and defense, 3. State, institutions, transparency, 4. Health, education and welfare state, 5. Environment and energy and 6. New generation.

The teleboy will be hosted by George Kouvaras and questions will be asked by journalists from six TV channels: George Papadakis, Panagiotis Statis, Rania Zima, Mara Zaharia, Antonis Schreuter and Sia Kosioni.

According to ERT, the debate will be followed by 26 TV cameras, which will be located outside and inside the Agia Paraskevi radio building.

The ERTNEWS studio, which will feature parliamentary party leaders as well as six journalists, has been properly configured as technicians make final preparations for the TV fight, which will be covered by nine cameras to be installed on the TV screen.

Nine more cameras will be installed in a van at the entrance to Radio Megaros to film the arrival of politicians and their staff, and a drone has been deployed for the same reasons.

Also, each political leader will be accompanied by a camera until they enter the studio, and two more will capture the most important moments of the evening.

Similar preparations have been made for the reception of journalists, photojournalists and technicians who have been accredited to cover the debate, as interest is very high from both Greek and international media.

Television crews and journalists from six nationwide channels as well as other news stations will be on Radio Megaro from Wednesday afternoon to record the political event. For this, a special platform for TV cameras and photojournalists will be created.

The debate will be broadcast by ERTNEWS, ERT1 and ERT3, which will also feature sign language interpretation for the hearing impaired for the first time. Teleboy will also be broadcast by the First Program, Voice of Greece, and will also be “uploaded” to the digital platform of ERT, ERTFLIX and ERTFLIX International.

Political leaders will arrive at Radiomegaros around 20:00. Security measures will be tight and access to certain areas will be controlled.

The leaders of the parties, as well as their headquarters, before entering the studio, will prepare in the offices of the President, Managing Director and General Managers of ERT.

Taking into account their location in the studio, they will sit from left to right depending on the parliamentary strength of the parties. That is, first ND President and Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, and then SYRIZA-PS President Alexis Tsipras, PASOK-KINAL President Nikos Androulakis, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the KKE Dimitris Koutsoubas, Hellenic Solution President Kyriakos Velopoulos and Secretary of MERA25, Janis Varoufakis.

In front of them, in alphabetical order, will sit journalists from six television channels with nationwide coverage. Mara Zacharia (STAR), Sia Kosioni (SKAI), Giorgos Papadakis (ANT1), Antonis Schroiter (ALPHA), Panagiotis Statis (OPEN) and Rania Zima (MEGA).

This debate will be the first in eight years.
